About House of Rock

House of Rock was established on July 28th, 2005 in the heart of downtown Corpus Christi. House of Rock is divided into two sections: The Venue and The Main Bar which now includes The Kitchen. The Venue hosts live music and entertainment, as well as private events including weddings, fundraisers, parties and more. The Main Bar, strictly 21+ (valid I.D required), unless during Kitchen hours, is open 7 days a week and there is never a cover. Live Music Every Thursday through Saturday we host live music in The Venue, and from time to time you can catch a good show on off nights. We also host weekly Open Mic Night every Tuesday open to all kinds of music, comedy, poetry and just about any kind of performance you can think of. The Venue at the House of Rock has been home to many local, regional and national touring acts from a wide variety of genres. Some of our past shows include Slightly Stoopid, Todd Snider, As I Lay Dying, Pepper, Billy Joe Shaver, We Came as Romans, Iration, Shooter Jennings, Clutch and many more. Good Food The Kitchen at House of Rock is open 7 days a week with all menu options to-go friendly and happy hour specials from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. The menu consists of specialty pizzas (offered whole or by the slice), assorted appetizers, fresh salads and sandwiches. Neighborhood Hangout House of Rock’s main bar (21+) is open 7 nights a week and is a great place to hang out and mingle with the locals. There is never a cover charge in the main bar. House of Rock has a full bar serving over 80 beers from around the world as well as a variety of bar drinks and daily specials. Its walls are decorated with original art and photos contributed by regular customers and local artists. In addition to bar games, the main bar displays all the big games on flat screen TV’s. Our internet juke box allows you to listen to what you want while hanging out with friends or meeting new people. Private Events The Venue at House of Rock is home to several annual events including the CC7D film project, Zombie Prom, Dia de los Muertos and more. The Venue at House of Rock accommodates a variety of special events from wedding receptions to corporate parties.
